Students will work on a project in large groups (up to 5 students in each group), developing requirements specification, a solution plan followed by design and implementation of the solution. The problem statement for the projects will be selected by the faculty. Faculty will also play the role of a project manager directing the schedule and deliverables for these projects.
dKomplex IT is working on an ambitious project to develop a tool named dHUNTR for their client Get Hunted. This tool will be designed to gather valuable company information within specified parameters or 'scope'. These parameters might include aspects such as industry type, company size, or geographical location. The ultimate goal of dHUNTR is to target companies who meet the end clients criteria for recruiting an employee from that company. This tool will have the goal of creating an accurate and reliable list of companies along with important data regarding the company’s background, leadership team details, employee profiles and a financial overview. This allows users of the tool to understand the company in order to know if it has the potential to have employees that Get Hunted clients are looking for. The tool will be created by dKomplex IT for their client, Get Hunted, a Swedish company who will be providing the requirements and valuable feedback throughout the project.
The purpose of this project is to provide a real world experience for students at CSUMB and to be a part of an Agile software engineering environment. dKomplex IT will also hope to build a very useful tool that will help Get Hunted save time in their recruitment process for their clients.
Get Hunted is located in Sweden with international offices in Dubai, Canada, and Spain, so generally this tool will be used by employees across the globe. The anticipated outcome is the collaboration between dKomplex IT, Get Hunted, and CSUMB that will benefit each party with knowledge, experience, and a tool that can benefit Get Hunted and dKomplex IT for business purposes.
